Health Care Assistants – Night Shifts - Isle of Wight 
Pay: £17.00 per hour
Shifts: 10:00 pm – 8:00 am Monday to Sunday

Are you a compassionate and understanding carer looking to make a real difference in someone’s life?

At MCS Healthcare, we are looking for dedicated Health Care Assistants to support a young client living at home with their family in Radstock. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide consistent, person-centred care to an adolescent with a learning disability and epilepsy.

About the Role

You will be supporting a young person who lives in a loving family home and has complex clinical needs, including a tracheostomy, BiPAP therapy, and gastrostomy care. The client requires reassurance, structure, and consistent support, particularly during the night.

Providing attentive clinical care, building trust, offering reassurance, and responding in a calm, safe, and supportive manner is essential to ensure their comfort and wellbeing.

This role is not just about care tasks—it’s about building a positive relationship, promoting a sense of safety, and supporting the client to feel comfortable in their own home.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing compassionate personal and emotional support

  • Delivering high-quality tracheostomy care

  • Supporting with BiPAP therapy

  • Assisting with catheter care

  • Managing and caring for gastrostomy needs

  • Supporting with seizures and epilepsy, ensuring safe and effective management

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 1 year of care experience

  • A caring and professional approach

  • Willingness to learn and follow care plans

  • Experience in learning disabilities or similar settings (preferred)

  • Night shifts: 10:00 pm – 8:00 am Monday to Sunday

  • The client lives at home with their family

  • This role requires consistency and commitment to building trust
